Defend

A reputational threat can begin with a media enquiry, a leaked document, a commercial dispute or a coordinated digital campaign. Its significance depends on who is driving it, what evidence exists and whose decisions it may influence.

Navigantium combines intelligence, communications and operational support to establish the facts, contain damage and protect your position. We work directly with leadership and alongside legal, security and technical advisers, maintaining continuity between advice and action.

When your reputation comes under attack, we act

We investigate where claims originate, how they spread and which audiences are responding. We examine the actors involved, their interests and the networks through which they operate.

This helps distinguish a genuine grievance from misinformation, opportunistic criticism or an organised attempt to cause harm. It also establishes the appropriate response. A public rebuttal may be necessary; in other circumstances, direct engagement, corrective action or a decision to remain silent may better protect the client.

Understand the threat

We develop the response strategy and carry out the communications it requires. This can include media handling, executive preparation, employee and customer communications, direct engagement with partners, digital corrections and continuing assessment of the situation.

We challenge inaccurate claims with evidence and help clients explain what happened, what is known and what they are doing about it. Where conduct or operational failures have contributed to the problem, communications must reflect the action being taken to address them.

Our work covers hostile coverage, coordinated campaigns, geopolitical exposure, sensitive disputes and incidents involving digital platforms or AI products. When an assignment requires a presence on the ground, we can deploy to support it.

Develop the response, if required

Prepare before an incident

We also examine vulnerabilities before they become public problems. This includes reviewing sensitive relationships and decisions, mapping potential threats, preparing response procedures and testing how leadership would handle a developing incident.

After the immediate pressure subsides, we support the work of restoring confidence, maintaining important relationships and reducing the likelihood of recurrence.
